Story

Libya Floods Emergency Appeal

Storm Daniel has caused widespread damage and destruction across Libya. In the east much of Derna, home to about 100,000 people, is under water after two dams and four bridges collapsed.

Flooding has caused the deaths of more than 5,000 people, with thousands more still missing. Raging flood waters have swept away entire neighbourhoods. Homes, businesses and farmlands have been destroyed.

The destruction is incomprehensible.

Right now children in Libya are injured, alone and traumatised. They have lost everything they have ever known. Some have even lost loved ones.

Now children in Libya are battling to survive amidst the crisis. They urgently need clean water, food and shelter to survive. UNICEF is on the ground working to deliver humanitarian aid but we need your help to reach every child in need.

Please donate now and help children and their families survive.
