Story
I’m Liam Byrne, a long-distance runner and passionate supporter of DLAG. Although I haven’t volunteered recently, I remain fiercely behind DLAG’s cause and its tireless fight against poverty.
To show my support, I’m taking on a gruelling series of races covering 150 miles to raise vital funds for DLAG. This incredible charity urgently needs your help to meet growing demand and continue making a difference in our community.
Here’s my challenge:
5th Jan: Tadworth 10-Mile (Surrey) – A gentle warm-up.
24th Jan: Barcelona - 34km - just another little warm up!!
23rd Feb: Seville Marathon (Spain) – 26.2 miles in the Andalusian sun.
29th Mar: Kew Gardens 10k (London).
5th Apr: 2 Oceans Ultra Marathon (South Africa) – 34.7 miles, my toughest race yet.
6th Apr: 2 Oceans Half Marathon – 13.1 miles, back-to-back after the Ultra!
2nd May: 1 Mile West Mile Sprint (Cincinnati, USA).
3rd May: Flying Pig 10k & 5k (Cincinnati, USA).
4th May: Flying Pig Marathon – Another 26.2 miles.
18th May: Beer Lovers Marathon (Belgium) – 26.2 miles, 18 beer stops......
This will push me to my absolute limits—150 miles of running, across 4 months and 3 continents. It’s my way of helping DLAG continue its vital work, providing food, tech, furniture, musical, warm coats and sports equipment and more.
Every penny counts. Let’s make every mile matter—please donate today!
