As an organization with more than a century of experience in caring for our community, the Valley of the Sun YMCA responds quickly to these challenges; creatively expanding our programs to meet our community when, where and how we are needed most.

Y programs provide critical safety around water knowledge and teach swimming skills for youth and adults.
In 2023, the Y will: Teach 500 youth to swim through free Safety Around Water and affordable swim lessons
Y programs are committed to executing experiences rich in social/emotional learning because youth do better when they have supportive adults nurturing their potential.
In 2023, the Y will: Provide 60 families with financial assistance to offset the cost of Early Learning programs, allowing children to learn and grow in a safe environment
Y programs support parents in creating stronger families to lower child poverty, reduce social-isolation, increase positive health outcomes, and increase family income.
In 2023, the Y will: Provide 200 families with scholarships for Before & After School and Camp programs, lowering the barrier for families to gain entry into Y programs
Y membership and wellness programs can improve the health and well-being of our community to reduce chronic disease, obesity, and improve mental health.
In 2023, the Y will: Provide 250 seniors with scholarships to Y programming and membership
