Lets Boycott Christmas, what an outrageous name for a campaign, especially at this time of year, in this year of all years; a year in which we have learnt the power of helping, sharing and saving lives.

We are all caught in the pandemic storm but we are not all in the same boat. COVID-19 has decimated countries, communities and families. The harsh realities of life's unequal struggle and the fragility of those most in need has been highlighted, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa. Through our own research and information provided by NGOs on the ground Eastside Young leaders will raise money for education programmes and employment prospects, particularly those supporting girls, which will be shared between 5 charities in Ghana, The Gambia, Kenya, Nigeria, and Sierra Leone.

In truth, we dont want you to skip the season but we do ask you to pause and make just a small sacrifice as this will make a big difference to some of the poorest communities in the world. This campaign asks you to join us and use a little of your Christmas excess to make a difference to those with the greatest need. Whoever gives to the poor lends to God (Proverbs 19). Join us in showing love this Christmas.

It might seem like a drop in the ocean but as Mother Teresa once said, the ocean is made up of many drops; join your drop with ours.
