Emeritus Professor Jill Wilson AO was a luminary in the profession of social work in Australia and internationally. Prof Wilson's outstanding contribution and dedication to the social work profession and community services in Australia result in her being one of social work's most loved and respected figures.

Prof Wilson was actively engaged in research related to the prevention of elder abuse, particularly financial abuse. She was also known for her research contributions in field education, health, and disability. Prof Wilson influenced policy and decision making as a board member of not-for-profit organisations and participated in and submitted recommendations to many government inquiries. Her dedication was evident with her involvement in assisting individuals who were subject to institutional abuse.

This fund will continue her legacy, particularly on the topics of health, ageing, disability and field education.
