Organised by Rise SupportEvery day, the refugees in Lebanon go hungry. Families are forced to ration their food and send their children to bed with empty stomachs, all because food insecurity is rampant throughout the nation.
Rise Support are fundraising this Ramadan to help provide Iftar meals for refugees, , orphans and other vulnerable members in Lebanon.
Volunteers from the UK will be in Lebanon disturbing your Iftar packs. InshAllah the team will distributing 300 packs everyday in the last 10 days of Ramadan (3,000hot meals).
You can sponsor an iftar pack for an orphan or refugee for only £1.
There are over 2 million refugees in Lebanon.
88% of Syrians refugees in Lebanon are living below the extreme poverty line.
The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
"Whoever provides the food for a fasting person to break his fast with, then for him is the same reward as his (the fasting person's), without anything being diminished from the reward of the fasting person." [Sunan at-Tirmidhi 807]
