Story
As part of Queensland Womens Week each year, White Cloud Foundation invites prominent and philanthropic Queensland women like you to take a leap off the Kangaroo Point Cliffs in Brisbane in support of mothers suffering post-natal depression.
In previous years, these women have included Seven newsreader Kay McGrath, ultramarathon runner Jacqui Bell, State politician Di Farmer, Women's Broncos and State of Origin player Meg Ward and General Counsel for the Aurizon Network Nicola Molloy.
All our Leaping Ladies not only abseil down the Kangaroo Point Cliffs to generate awareness for perinatal depression, but they each raise funds for our Meals for Mums service which gives vital nutritional support to women battling the condition.
In 2020, White Cloud delivered 9,215 meals to 441 mothers in South-East Queensland.
We launched the service in Townsville in September 2020 and now, which your generous support, we plan to launch the Meals for Mums service in other regional towns and cities across Queensland in 2021.
This year's Leaping Ladies event is taking place on Thursday 11 March from 7am.
