Learning Disability Week is the most important week of the year here at Leeds Mencap. This is because supporting young people with learning disabilities to be included and to achieve their aspirations is at the heart of everything we do.

Not only do we offer important services to people with learning disabilities, we recognise the needs of the whole family too. Were on hand to provide advice, support and long-term help to all those we work with, because were all on this journey together.

The theme of this year's Learning Disability Week is smashing misconceptions about what people with learning disabilities can do and shining a light on the stigma many still face every day. We want to bust myths and show that people with learning disabilities can achieve whatever they put their mind to!
