Story

Laura returns to support Guy’s Gift again in 2024. Not WOLF running this time, but in memory of her brother Matthew, Laura is leading a team of Family and Friends running the Coventry Half-Marathon on the 28th April 2024. Another huge challenge for 2024, as Laura freely admits to ‘not being a runner’. Laura will be supported by the team, Parice, Rob, Aaliyah, Amy and Kirstie in this years’ event to help Guy’s Gift continue to support and counsel children and young people across Coventry and Warwickshire who experience bereavement.

As Laura reminds us, “We all take life for granted and think it will NEVER happen to us. March 8th, 2022, we tragically lost our son, partner, daddy, brother, uncle, grandson and friend. Matthew was 36, loved life, his family and friends but especially Amelie, 8 and Finley, 3. Matthew took part in plenty of fundraising events himself, from the London Marathon, WOLF runs, through to a bikeathon. Matthew would always do anything for anyone.”

“This is one of the ways in which we all try to honour Matthew. Please get behind us to help remember Matthew, raise money for Guy's Gift and help young children and their families experiencing bereavement. XXX”
