Story

The future is in their hands

By providing a scholarship, you will give a young person the opportunity of a lifetime, launching their career, empowering them to help solve the challenges that Africa’s biodiversity faces, and inspiring the next generation of African conservationists.

Life-changing courses

TBA’s month-long course puts young people at the heart of biodiversity protection. We provide 100% relevant, expert-led, practical teaching, taking place in the very habitats that need conserving, leaving students equipped and empowered to make a difference on the ground straight away.

Our courses work. Our TBA alumni are bringing species back from the brink of extinction, protecting rainforests and wetlands, improving the lives and livelihoods of local communities, breaking down gender barriers, and so much more.

The Tropical Biology Association field course is a dream come true for upcoming African ecologists. Owino Raymond, Kenya.

Be a part of the solution

We offer these courses to up-and-coming African conservationists who otherwise would not be able to afford a place.
