The Village Church faces great financial difficulties and must raise funds urgently for vital repair work.

St Mary Magdalene Church, Latimer has been at the heart of our community since the mid-nineteenth century. Its history as a church site extends way back to the thirteenth century.

Latimer church is for everyone in our community. It is not only a place of worship but a hub for our community to gather together for concerts, talks and meetings and for the important celebrations of marriage, baptism and thanksgiving, as well as funerals.

The building is now in desperate need of external and internal repairs. The immediate priority is the leaking roof followed by extensive repairs to the fabric caused partly by the resultant damp.

There is no pot of money for this important work.  It is up to us, as a community to do what we can and to give what we can to preserve and maintain this much loved building as an integral part of our village.
