We are so excited to announce our first group fundraising event!
This September, Larsen’s Pride will be hosting a skydive to raise money to improve the lives and experience of the youngest children after a brain tumour diagnosis.
Supporters will be jumping from 14,000 feet, falling at 120mph and gliding down to earth on a parachute for 5 minutes, over Langar Airfield in Nottingham.
You may know our charity from our gorgeous Jellycat donations which help to bring courage and comfort to children across England and Wales during their treatment.
But did you know, we also…
📢 Advocate for children’s rights and experiences at national healthcare conferences
👩🏫 Train health care students to improve their knowledge and understanding of working with children in their future roles - many of whom would not have specific paediatric training otherwise!
📹 Create resources such as videos, animations, posters, sticker charts and more to prepare and distract children during their treatment
📑 Advise and consult with professional bodies on what paediatric specialist roles should look like
🧑🧑🧒🧒 Support families after diagnosis and during treatment. We provide peer led supportive phone calls for parents and carers and signpost them to various other support available
