Story
People of all ages and abilities are currently walking, cycling, running, dancing and hopping their way to Lapland raising much needed funds and ever important awareness so that no one in Lancashire has to face a mental health condition alone.
We've replaced our usual 5km fun run with this virtual challenge and hope that we can raise £10,000 for Lancashire Mind- your local, independent Mental Health charity. We have just 12 days- ending 12th December to cover our kms and reach our fundraising target. Thank you to every individual, every business, every community group and every school community who are a part of this team!
Lancashire Mind's income through fundraising challenges, activities and events has significantly reduced in 2020 however there has been an increase in the need of the services we offer- an increase that we anticipate will continue to grow. As a local, independent charity every pound donated to Lancashire Mind stays in Lancashire for the people of Lancashire. Here are just some of the ways your donation can help:
£5 Could answer a call to someone seeking support for their mental health and provide them with detailed signposting information
£10 Could provide support for someone living with a mental health condition to be an active member of their community
£20 Could give 30 minutes of coaching to someone who is experiencing poor mental health, helping them to overcome barriers
£50 Could deliver a Happier Lancashire workshop in a local school, teaching children about the five ways to wellbeing
£75 Could pay the expenses of an empowerment volunteer to support an individual to attend social groups improving their confidence and skills, and reducing their feelings of isolation, over a four-month period.
£100 could pay for Bounce Forward (our resilience programme delivered to primary school children) booklets for one class of 35 pupils.
