La Casa dei Pesci is an Italian non-profit with the mission to protect the marine environment of the Tuscan Maremma coastline. Since 2012, they have been protecting the seabed and the ecosystems of posidonia meadows, fighting deadly illegal trawling.
In 2015 La Casa dei Pesci has also built an underwater museum to raise the public’s attention to the importance of the ocean floor and the urgency of its protection. Artists like Emily Young have contributed with their art to help the ocean.
Art is a powerful tool to drive attention to the beauty and importance of the ocean for our life on earth. Onceayear Global Ocean is proud to work with La Casa dei Pesci to expand the underwater museum in the Gulf of Talamone and to increase its visibility. The goal is to make seabed exploitation emergency a topic on everyone's lips.
