Story
The Kent Youth League is proud to announce our charity partner for the 2019/20 season is Redthread. Redthread's mission is to empower young people to thrive as they navigate the challenging transition to adulthood by integrating trauma-informed youth work into the health sector. Their youth workers meet any young person, aged 11-25, during times of crisis, fear and trauma - 'teachable moments' - and transform their experiences of health systems and professional networks. The youth workers are a passionate advocate for those they meet for as long as they need them, both in hospital and once they are home.
Since its formation in 1981, the Kent Youth League runs with the aim of giving our players an opportunity to showcase their talents in the best possible environments. With 195 teams across 16 Divisions and 6 Cup Competitions, we take great pride in running a League that provides a safe haven for young people to develop, both as footballers and as citizens in society.
As the campaign unfolds, we'll be asking our family of Kent Youth League clubs to support us to fundraise as much as possible to support Redthread's incredibly important work. We have many plans up our sleeves; from committee members running half-marathons, bucket collections and more. Every penny donated by our clubs will be noted with our sincerest thanks.
Please give what you can to help us reach our target for the season and contact charlotte.richardson@kentyouthleague.co.uk should you wish to get your club or team involved with our fundraising endeavours.
