This Purim, Congregation Kol Ami is proud to support the delivery of Shalach Manot to the soldiers serving in the Kedem Battalion to let them know they are not alone. Every soldier in the Kedem Battalion which is part of the Search and Rescue Brigade has gone through highly skilled special training for combat, search and rescue, and atomic, biological, and chemical warfare for missions in Israel and abroad. A recent operation that Kedem participated in with other special forces, including Shaldag (Seals), Oketz (K9 unit), Yahalom (Combat Engineering Bomb Squad), and a combat team, terror tunnel routes were found, one of which passed under most of the structures of the hospital. In the tunnel, they uncovered several rooms, uncovered a shaft from an educational institution, and another adjacent to the hospital in which they found many weapons.
