Story

Our founder Charlotte has found out she has relapsed. 6 years after her diagnosis of incurable follicular non-hodgkins lymphoma.

The signs that something has been wrong have been there for a while, various unexplained stomach infections, skin infections, low blood levels, a fog of fatigue and most recently a very lumpy neck - which ultimately led to the ultrasound, biopsy and the diagnosis.

Charlotte still doesn't know the extent of the cancer but her upcoming bone marrow biopsy and PET scan will tell us her treatment options.

Like her initial diagnosis - she does not want to focus on her very shitty situation. When life gives you lemons, make lemonade!

It was her knowledge of checking her lymph nodes that led to her second diagnosis. She only knew how and where to check because she's had lymphoma. Checking your lymph nodes needs to become as regular as a person checking their breast and testicles for lumps.

Charlotte's diagnosis cannot be changed but we can stop others going through this. Knowledge is power. During her treatment, Charlotte and the LOL team want to build an online tool to help others get to know their nodes.

Donate and help us launch this potentially life-saving project.
