Knit for a Bit
Needle enthusiasts, are you ready for another challenge? Knit or crotchet for the residents at the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability!
Help make a difference
Grab your knitting needles or crochet hooks and create large socks, mittens or fingerless gloves for residents and patients at the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability! These will be given to our patients and residents or will be sold to fundraise for essential therapies and service that make life better for adults with severe brain injuries or neurological diseases.
For example, The RHN's Occupational Therapy Art Room and Service. As we are a charity, this service is fully funded and provides a leisure activity for patients as well as an enjoyable way for them to meet their rehabilitation goals. The art sessions are also highly important as they have been proven to improve the patients physical and cognitive ability after suffering a life changing brain injury or illness.
“It’s given me a completely new outlook on life. I had never painted or done any art before. I started from scratch and learned how to paint using my mouth and I felt very proud. I never thought I could do anything like this” RHN patient
Midway through the challenge, some supporters updated us with their creations. They already look incredible!!
