Story
When I feel like I'm drowning with all the pressure, complications and possibilities, Kindred have always supported our family to steady the ship. (from Claire, a Kindred parent)
Christmas is a time we think about our families and those closest to us. For most that means time spent at home, enjoying each others company, going for winter walks and meeting up with friends. For many of the 700 Kindred families their festive season might look very different as they may need to isolate and perhaps spend time in hospital. Whilst others are emerging from lockdown, many Kindred families continue to shield to protect the health of their children, like young Sam and Leo whose mum Claire turned to Kindred when her boys were born with complex needs and she needed some support.
In these unprecedented times Kindred has adapted to keep our service going through remote working so that we can be there when parents need us most. We have supported families for over 30 years and with your support we can continue to do so in the future.
I truly believe my wee girl would still be in hospital but for your tireless efforts. Your professional and caring manner really helped us. I really benefited from your depth and breadth of knowledge of these systems, particularly in the times of Covid restrictions. (from a Kindred parent)
Time and time again parents tell us about the positive difference Kindred's support has made to their family's world - please help us to make that difference with your donation.
Thank you.
