Story
There is a challenging time ahead for us all due to the progression of COVID-crisis, so our first thoughts go out to wish that you and your families stay safe and healthy throughout this period of uncertainty.
Our primary objective as a charity is to give opportunities for disadvantaged and at-risk young people and disabled participants to participate in water-based activities and we will endeavour to continue to offer these opportunities for as long as possible.
However, the recent advice from the Government to restrict public gatherings has had an immediate impact on us, in particular our Oarsome rowing challenge campaign which currently helps to raise vital funds for our charity.
We have taken the precautionary measure to postpone our Oarsome events that were due to take place in May 2020, a decision made with the best interest of safeguarding our supporters, staff and our beneficiaries at AHOY during this time.
There is also a risk that we may have to postpone more challenges later in the year, which will significantly impact our ability to continue with our programmes.
Our focus now is to ensure we are able to offer support to our young people and disabled participants, some of whom are of the most vulnerable at this time while also ensuring the safety, health and well-being of our staff and volunteers.
Please help to #KeepUsAfloat so that we can continue to direct our focus at a time where it is needed most by making a donation that will directly impact the well-being of our beneficiaries.
Right now you can make a difference.
Please donate today.
Thank you .
