Story
Keep us going!
Our clients get so much from taking to the water and learning new skills. For some the experience is just calming and a pleasant relief from their everyday routines, for others it's the excitement and adrenaline of controlling a dinghy through the elements.
Sailing provides an opportunity for people with even the most severe disabilities to take to the water and even sail independently. The specialist equipment available makes this possible, enabling people to compete on level terms, or just to enjoy the fun of sailing with their family.
Providing the equipment, facilities, training, and safety cover doesn't come cheap. We aim to keep it affordable and accessible for everybody. To achieve this we are dependent on income from grants, awards, and donations. Our income is being affected by the pandemic because we have only been able to offer limited activity this year, and this is likely to be the case well into 2021. Grant givers have also been affected during these challenging times.
Although our activities have been reduced, many of our fixed costs and running costs remain. We need your help to get us through this difficult time.
