Our Charity of the Year this year is North London Hospice. North London Hospice is a registered charity that has been caring for local people since 1984. They support communities within the boroughs of Barnet, Enfield and Haringey; caring for patients with life limiting illnesses, supporting them to achieve the best quality of life possible. They provide physical, emotional and spiritual care to patients and families, friends and carers.

Not only is North London Hospice a fantastic local charity, but it also means a great deal to the staff at Kallis Insolvency Practitioners. Elizabeth Arakapiotis, Lizzie to her many friends, joined Kallis and Company in May 1995 and quickly became the backbone of the office. Her beaming smile and the infectious enthusiasm that she brought with her to the office every day of the week will long be remembered. Sadly she was taken too early, and in her final months North London Hospice was there for her, to care for her, and make sure she kept her dignity throughout. They are truly an incredible organisation.

In order to support North London Hospice this year, the team are probably biting off more than they can chew, but are committed to succeeding. Starting from the 13th of September they are taking part in a 2,593 mile challenge (the distance between the Kallis and Company offices in North London and Limassol, Cyprus). Our 14 brave (possibly stupid) staff will be walking, running, swimming and cycling over the course of 12 weeks to try and hit that magic 2,593 mile target.
