Story
Hi, my name is Kacper Kubicki, and I’m 8 years old.
I was born on 24th June 2014. When I was in my mummy's tummy, the doctors diagnosed me with Costello Syndrome. All the doctors tried to convince my mum to terminate the pregnancy, but my mummy is a strong fighter and a big hero. She decided to bring me into this wonderful world and into my amazing family.
I was born with many medical complications, including: Costello Syndrome, the need for a Nasogastric tube (when I was a newborn), risks from an Ectopic beat, Bronchiolitis, Cerebral ventriculomegaly, significant left side Scoliosis, a Chest wall deformity, poor growth, Rectal bleeding, Gastrostomy placement, Vomiting, and Cryptorchidism on the right side. I spent almost the whole first year of my life in the hospital, but my mum was always by my side, day and night.
Despite all of this, I am a happy little boy who loves films, toys, and books. My favourites right now are PJ Masks, Paw Patrol, and Fireman Sam. I also have a wonderful family, including my 12-year-old sister and my 2-year-old brother, but because of all my medical needs, my parents can’t always afford everything I need.
Last year, I had surgery on my legs, but unfortunately, it wasn’t successful. They have now referred me to a hospital in London. While waiting to see the London doctors, my physiotherapist recommended a disability tricycle to help build muscle strength in my legs and improve my overall fitness. Unfortunately, the NHS doesn’t fund this tricycle, and it costs a lot of money, which my family cannot afford.
Can you please help me raise money for this very much-needed trike? It will help improve my mobility, strength, and really make a big difference to my everyday life.
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Your support means the world to me!
