Kosair for Kids is our region’s most comprehensive children’s charity. Kosair for Kids provides assistance for medical care, equipment, and therapies. Last year, 142 families received care they could otherwise not afford.

Kosair Kid Evelyn is a perfect example of the difference we can make if we join together to support this wonderful cause. When faced with mounting medical bills amidst the uncertainty of her rare condition that required a liver transplant, Kosair for Kids was there to lessen the burden.

More than 260,000 children across all of Kentucky and southern Indiana were positively impacted by Kosair for Kids last year. Thousands benefit from unique experiences catering to children of all ability levels. The first-ever Kosair Kids Princess Tea treated 30 little girls to a day pulled straight out of a fairy tale. Whether it’s an unforgettable day at Kentucky Castle, the annual Kosair Kids Holiday Party, Boo at the Zoo, or unique experiences at sporting events, Kosair for Kids delivers the power of joy.

Medical research has long played a role in benefiting Kosair Kids. The Kosair for Kids Center for Pediatric NeuroRecovery draws families from around the world, looking for hope and finding results. Kosair Kid Luke and his family were given a grim diagnosis that he would never even feed himself. The little boy learned to swim last summer, hoping to join a team this year.

The Kosair for Kids Face It Movement to end child abuse and neglect is doing the work no one wishes needed to be done. Since its inception a decade ago, the alliance has grown from 10 to 150 partners. Kosair for Kids has provided more than $10 million through the years, boosting the work of organizations that have helped reduce the number of child abuse and maltreatment cases. While progress has been made, there is still so much more work to be done.

Together, we are delivering on the promises made in 1923 when a group of Kosair Shriners vowed to help all children “regardless of race, religion, or creed.” Together, we can deliver more joy, care, and hope than ever before. Will you help a Kosair Kid today?
