Just Keep Swimming - Annie Fennell Fundraiser

Campaign by Swim Vietnam

Just Keep Swimming is a student led service learning project. The aim of this project is to raise money to reduce drowning risks through swim lessons and education for underprivileged kids.

Did you know that 2,000 children drown each year in Vietnam? That is more than 5 every single day. Swim Vietnam teaches a skill for life to save a life by building swimming pools, training teachers and providing survival swimming, water safety and lifesaving programs in Vietnam.

Story

Annie Fennell - Event Organiser - "Growing up at the beach I always had a love for swimming. I spent my whole summers and weekends at the beach, in the pool or at swim camp. Looking back I see how fortunate I was to be able to enjoy the water when it was hot and that I had someone to teach me how to swim. My goal through this project is to make swimming and enjoying the water around us more inclusive and allow kids to have the same memories that I did and the opportunity to learn a simple lifesaving skill."

Just Keep Swimming is a student led service learning project. The aim of this project is to reduce drowning risks through swim education for underprivileged kids. We will be hosting a Run-Swimathon on 28th September 2025 at Salt Restaurant and Barefoot Beach Club to raise money to donate to Swim Vietnam. The event will be for people ages 7 and above, and to participate a US$25 minimum donation is required with evidence. It costs US$25 to fully teach a kid how to swim and this event aims for each entry to fund a child in swim education. All proceeds of this event goes directly to sponsoring a child to learn how to swim.
