Eddie is once again organising his annual Holy Island to Berwick (Spittal Bowling Club) walk in fond memory of his Sister Margie Nicholl with all fundraising proceeds in aid of the Berwick & District Cancer Support Group (Berwick Cancer Cars).

This year's walk takes place on Sunday 23rd June 2024 and anyone wishing to join Eddie will be very welcome, meeting at the main car park on Holy Island at 9.00 am.

This will be a one way walk from Holy Island main car park finishing at Spittal Bowling Club where there will be refreshments and is approx. 14 miles. There will be a refreshment stop at the Goswick Golf Course. Please allow about 6 hours at a 'steady Eddie pace', wear comfortable walking shoes and being mindful of the weather!

Note : The Holy Island causeway safe crossing times for Sunday 23rd June 2024 are 0735hrs to 1435hrs.

Eddie has been a fantastic supporter of Berwick Cancer Cars for many years and the charity, who rely completely on donations and fundraising to support its free community cancer transport service, were delighted when he adopted them his charity when he was made Sheriff of Berwick-upon-Tweed Sheriff in May 2022.
