This year, during Children’s Hospice Week, some of our care team at Julia’s House will be taking on a mighty challenge to cover 1083 miles!

This is the distance from our hospice in Corfe Mullen, to every one of our Julia’s House families homes in Dorset. Our care team travel all over Dorset to deliver support and the vital respite care, looking after the children regularly, to give parents a break, and or time to look after their siblings.

The team will be tackling these miles on the 22nd & 23rd June by running, swimming and cycling across the whole weekend, all finishing with the final miles ending at our hospice, with a group run!

One of our parents recently said:

“With Julia’s house, they just sweep in and say ‘Okay, you go now and take some time for you’. The fact they come to our home is a huge blessing too. Sometimes my husband and I even go out for a dinner date, which is the only time we get to do that. “
