Jamiatul Ummah School and Madrasah is an Independent Boys Secondary in Tower Hamlets. Alhamdulillah, the schools had been growing in strength every year and is currently ranked the top performing school in the borough and in 2016 was ranked the 42nd best school in England (Daily Telegraph).

Every year, we have over 140 pupils studying to be Hafidh-al-Quran and an additional 30-40 pupils studying 'Alimiyah alongside their GCSEs. Alhamdulillah, with the grace of Allah, between 10-15 pupils complete memorisation of the Quran every year and lead prayers and Taraweeh in Mosques across London.

Our pupils perform amongst the best in the country in their GCSEs and go on to top colleges, sixth-forms and Russel Group universities, including Oxford and Cambridge, as well as Islamic universities abroad such as Madinah and Al-Azhar - alhamdulillah.

We charge modest fees to achieve this amazing position and have been doing so for over 20 years.

We now urgently need your support to update our existing library and computer systems.

The School Library

We have renovated our current school library but need your support to stock the library with appropriate learning materials, including a wide selection of Islamic and academic/fiction books to support student learning.

Your donation will support our students to read widely and increase their knowledge Islamically and academically.

School Computer Servers

Our school computer servers are very old and slow. Alhamdulillah, through your past generosity, we have renovated our buildings infrastructure at a cost of over £200 000. To take advantage of this improved facility, we urgently need to upgrade our current computer systems, especially our servers and switches. We anticipate this will cost around £15000.
