Story
Thank you for helping reach every dying child in Scotland
Right now, there are over 15,000 children with life-shortening conditions in Scotland. Most of these children and their families will be shielding at home right now due to the heightened risk to them during the Coronavirus crisis. With many of their support networks no longer available to them, these families could be feeling more isolated than ever.
You're doing an amazing thing by keeping the joy alive, and making sure that no child with a life-shortening condition has to go through this crisis alone. Please donate to help reach more families in Scotland who need support.
Your gift will make such a difference
In April, CHAS launched the UKs first ever virtual childrens hospice. Thanks to you and people like you, families like Aylas who are self-isolating or cant go to a hospice or receive visits at home can still access round-the-clock care. Your support means that where families cant visit the hospice, the hospice can come to them. And its thanks to your gift, families can speak to a nurse, doctor or pharmacist by phone or video link, day or night. For the children, storytelling sessions and online art clubs will keep little minds and little hands busy. Clowndoctors will make the whole family laugh in virtual sessions. And for parents grieving the death of their child, theyll have bereavement support by phone or online. Thank you for making this possible.
Please help reach every family in Scotland
Keeping the joy alive, even in the face of death, is at the heart of everything we do at CHAS, as Scotland's only children's hospice charity. But this crisis is putting more strain on resources just when fundraising is hardest. Most of our fundraising events and activities have been cancelled or put on hold for the foreseeable future. We really need your help to keep vital services running and to adapt care for those who need it most.
If you can, would you help make sure that no family in Scotland has to go through this crisis alone?
