Journey for Wildness is your chance to take action for nature. By foot or by bike, by land or by water - set out to explore, conserve and raise funds for our wild places.

Journey for Wildness to raise funds and help tackle crucial issues of our time from the climate crisis to biodiversity loss.
Wild places contribute to our lives in countless ways; from providing natural climate solutions and flood protection to enhancing physical and mental wellbeing - but they are a diminishing resource that need to be conserved.
You can help by joining us this year, and making your own Journey for Wildness!
How do I take part?
1. Decide on your Journey: this could be anything you like, e.g. a local nature walk, a long-distance route, re-visiting a favourite wild place, or something more ambitious. (*Important* - please follow all local measures and restrictions relating to Covid-19)
2. Register here so we can keep in touch about the campaign and you offer support and inspiration. You can also download our Journey for Wildness Guide.
3. Either start fundraising by setting up your own fundraising page OR simply donate to take part. To do this click "Start fundraising" or "Donate" above.
4. Share your JustGiving page with family and friends, and ask them to sponsor you or take part themselves!
5. Use #JourneyForWildness and tag the John Muir Trust in any social media posts to let us know what you're up to.
Every pound you raise will make a real difference to our work dedicated to the experience, protection and repair wild places.
£10 could buy 5 new native tree saplings such as birch or rowan
£20 could pay to repair up to 20 metres of coastal trail
£50 could pay for tools and equipment for a conservation work party
£150 could pay for 10 metres of fencing to protect new trees
