Story

Rugby legend Jonathan Davies OBE invites you to join him in Jiffy's Cancer 50 Challenge on Sunday, 4th September 2022. This cycle event will start in Cardiff and finish in Swansea.

Jiffy's Cancer 50 Challenge, hosted by White Rock Events, is a 50 mile, fully supported bike ride to raise funds for specialist treatment and supportive care for cancer patients from across South Wales. All proceeds from the ride will be divided equally between Velindre Cancer Centre and the South West Wales Cancer Centre.

This is the second year for this fantastic large-scale joint fundraiser for Velindre and the South West Wales Cancer Centre, and is an incredible opportunity to improve cancer care across the length of the M4 corridor.

Jonathan Davies says "Having been President of Velindre Fundraising since 2008, we have worked tirelessly to raise awareness and funds to support cancer patients and their families at Velindre Cancer Centre and the wider community across Wales.

Now I live back down West, I want to extend my support to the people of the South West. Last year I created the first ever Jiffys Cancer 50 Challenge which was a bike ride from Cardiff to Swansea in aid of both Velindre and The South West Wales Cancer Fund. The event was a huge success and saw participants raise over £118,000 in sponsorship which was split evenly between both charities.

This year we are back for a second year and are going BIGGER by inviting 1,000 riders to join us thats double the spaces that were available last year!

Jiffys Cancer 50 Challenge is a fun bike ride that will take place on Sunday 4th September 2022. Its 50 miles, £50 to enter, which includes a cycling jersey, and all I ask is that people raise a minimum of £50 in sponsorship, more if you can, that will be split equally between both charities.

So grab your bike, sign up today, and start raising funds for two great charities in South Wales that are very close to my heart.

We'll see you at the start line!
