Story

Father Colin Carr OP will be doing a sponsored 82 km walk in Cambridge for his 82nd birthday in October 2023, to raise money for those living at Mutemwa Leprosy Care Centre in Zimbabwe.

Fr Colin taught in a Jesuit school in Zimbabwe, near where John Bradburne was living. He met John several times, once in the company of a hive of bees in his little room at Silveira House! It was whilst in Zimbabwe that he remembers John when he was warden at the Mutemwa Leprosy Care Centre and the selfless care and love he gave to each of the people living with leprosy. So it is in honour of John and the people of Mutemwa that Fr Colin is doing this walk for.
