Ivy Green Screen

Help make our children healthier, safer & more productive with the installation of an ivy green screen at John Ball school.

Story

We are now raising money to fund phase 3 of the ivy green screen project at John Ball - to cover the KS2 playground including the sports cage. Please help us raise the extra money we need.

An ivy green screen is incredibly effective at reducing pollution and noise, as well as providing privacy for the children when playing.

"Toxic air pollution stunts childrens lung growth" - Kings College London

Research shows that green screens are an effective measure to improve local air quality, helping to protect against respiratory diseases. They also increase biodiversity and provide a more natural environment for children to play and thrive.

"A 20% reduction in NO2 can improve children's ability to learn by 3 weeks in one year" - The Mayor of London

Like many inner London schools, John Ball is blighted by dirty air caused by heavy traffic. The children of our Pupil Voice committee identified the need to address this, and as such has become a priority for our school community.
