January has long been known as being a difficult month for some people to get through, and this year is certainly no different. For many of those we support, the feelings of anxiety, depression, and loneliness are felt, not just in January, but throughout the year. At Caring For Life, we seek to help those who are at-risk and vulnerable and hope to rebuild and restore them to a more settled way of life.
This month, to help Caring For Life continue to support and care for those who are most in need, we would love you to join us in our new fundraising campaign by becoming a January Jogger and helping us to run, collectively, 2021km by the end of this month!
You could be brand new to the running world or someone who runs every hour, every day. All you need to do is set yourself a target to run anything from 5km to 100km this month and then ask if your friends and family might sponsor you to reach your goal. You could jog in the streets, in your garden, on a treadmill, or even on the spot!
If you need help measuring the distance you run you could use an app on your phone such as Strava or Map My Run.
Then, once you have completed one of your jogs, all you will need to do is head to our website, www.caringforlife.co.uk/jan-joggers , and log how many kilometres you ran so that we can make sure to keep a tally.
