"Knowledge is power, and education is the foundation of progress for any nation." — Muhammad Iqbal
Jandar Banda is a small village in the Mansehra district of Khyber Pakhtunkhua. Like the rest of the province, where 39% of children are Out-Of-School, the area suffers from low literacy and educational opportunities for children from underprivileged communities.
PAGE Foundation is addressing these challenges through its Star School initiative in the village of Jandra Banda, Mansehra. The school provides free quality education to 45 children (28 girls and 17 boys) from underserved communities. These children come from families lacking the resources to send them to formal schools, leaving them without access to education.
While the demand for enrollment continues to grow within the community, limited funding restricts the school’s capacity to accommodate more students. Despite this, Star Schools go beyond academics by incorporating extracurricular activities to enhance students’ critical thinking, confidence, and overall development.
To expand access to education and meet the growing demand, increased funding and resources are crucial. The PAGE Foundation remains dedicated to empowering marginalized communities through education, but your support is essential to scale these efforts and provide more children with quality learning opportunities.
Through this campaign, Zakat contributions directly fund teachers' salaries and essential school supplies, ensuring that every child receives the education they deserve.
