Jaffna Central College, once renowned for its excellence in the 1960s, played a pivotal role in nurturing numerous scholars and professionals who made significant contributions worldwide. During that time, students from all corners of Sri Lanka sought the school's hostel facilities to pursue their education with great success. Unfortunately, the school suffered greatly due to the ethnic conflict, and now we aspire to revive its former glory. Our aim is to extend support to Tamil-speaking students across Sri Lanka, enabling them to experience the enriching life and educational opportunities available at Jaffna Central.

By accomplishing this objective, the UK OBA will not only will uplift the underprivileged students, but we will also positively impact their families and the entire Tamil community. In light of this vision, the UK OBA has taken proactive measures to establish a fund that will facilitate the inclusion of 50 talented students, selected from various regions of Sri Lanka, in this transformative project starting next year. Each student will receive a monthly stipend of approximately Rs 17,000, equivalent to £500 per year, to cover their expenses, including accommodation in the hostel.

For A/Level Oct 2025 exam intake for which the O/Level results were released about 2 weeks ago .We have successfully enrolled 18 students already out of the 25 places available. This includes 2 students with 9A's and 6 students with 8A's .

பாடசாலை நிர்வாகத்தின் உதவியுடனும் UK OBA இன் நிதியுதவியுடனும் யாழ் மத்திய கல்லூரி வரலாற்றில் ஒரு புதிய அத்தியாயம் எழுதப்படுகிறது.

யாழ்ப்பாண மத்திய கல்லூரி வரலாற்றில் கடந்த 30 வருடங்களில் முதன்முறையாக க.பொ.த சாதாரண தரப் பரீட்சையில் 5 மாணவர்கள் 9ஏ சித்திகளைப் பெற்றுள்ளனர்.

15 மாணவர்கள் 5A அல்லது அதற்கு மேற்பட்ட சித்திகளைப் பெற்றுள்ளனர். 63% மாணவர்கள் க.பொ.த சாதாரண தரப் பரீட்சையில் சித்தியடைந்துள்ளனர்.

கடந்த 4 ஆண்டுகளாக UK OBA ஆல் தொடங்கப்பட்ட உதவித்தொகை திட்டங்கள் எங்கள் பாடசாலை வரலாற்றில் இந்த வியத்தகு மாற்றத்திற்கு வழிவகுத்தன.

யாழ் மாவட்டத்திற்கு வெளியில் இருந்து சிறந்த பெறுபேறுகளைப் பெற்ற தமிழ் பேசும் மாணவர்களை க.பொ.த உயர்தரத்திற்கு எமது பாடசாலைக்கு கொண்டுவரும் செயற்திட்டத்தையும் ஆரம்பித்துள்ளோம். கடந்த வருடம் 15 மாணவர்களை வெற்றிகரமாக உள்வாங்கியுள்ளோம் தற்போது 25 மாணவர்களை க.பொ.த உயர்தரம் 2025க்கு பெற முயற்சித்து வருகிறோம். இதுவரை 18 மாணவர்களை சேர்த்து வெற்றிபெற்றுள்ளோம். உங்களின் உதவியுடன் அடுத்த ஆண்டு முதல் இந்த எண்ணிக்கையை 50 மாணவர்களாக உயர்த்த முடியும்.
