Are you ready to Step Up for Dementia?
The past few months have been tough for everyone, but coronavirus has hit people affected by dementia the hardest. A shocking one in four deaths from coronavirus have been people who also had dementia. And over 75% of people living with dementia have seen a deterioration in their symptoms as a result of the social isolation inflicted through lockdown. Now, more than ever, it is vital that people affected by dementia are not left to face their condition alone.
That's why the insurance industry is stepping up for dementia. As part of the Insurance United Against Dementia campaign, were asking you to take on 10,000 steps a day for a month and to raise crucial funds to support people living with dementia. Throughout September and October you can walk, run or even hike up and down your stairs you pick your activity. Let's see how far the insurance industry can step together!
Well be announcing how far you've stepped on Thursday 5th November which marks this years Insurance Day of Giving. So why not get your team together and see how far you can go?
