This summer we want to get 25 young attendees from the Islington Boxing Club attending The Police Community Clubs of Great Britain entry level coaching course Boxing Leader.

This course costs £95 per person and as the club is situated in a very deprived area of East London, the young people who attend the course would not be in a position to find this amount of money, especially during the summer break.

The Boxing Leader course is the England Boxing accredited non-contact Olympic-style boxing programme, delivered over one day and is the recommended first step onto the pathway to becoming a boxing coach.

What this course will provide a young person:

- An initial step onto the England Boxing coaching pathway

- A qualification which lasts 3 years plus insurance cover

- Ability to deliver the Contender Am-Box programme

- Ability to deliver the all new Police Clubs Tag Boxing Programme which includes numerous fun games based on basic boxing skills including Tag Boxing.

- A certificate of successful completion of the course

By supporting this cause you will be helping:

- Create an additional group of volunteers able to assist with classes at IBC which means even more young people can be engaged through sport

- Help the youngest off the streets as participation in these courses deter them from getting into trouble

- Give the young people a sense of achievement, raise their aspirations and lift their confidence while providing them with new skills
