Story
To give back and show support for one of their favourite Leeds Rhinos players of all time, the In Touch Dementia Support Group at Leeds Rhinos Foundation have decided take on their own 'Extra Mile' challenge to raise money for charity and the Rob Burrow Centre for MND Appeal.
Between May 12th and June 9th when the monthly In Touch dementia group meets, the members will undertake a collective challenge to walk 101 miles and help raise vital funds towards two very worthy causes.
Funds raised will help Leeds Rhinos Foundation to change lives through sport, by running more events in our community to reduce loneliness amongst the elderly population, provide extra care and support for people with disabilities and increase participation in sport, especially amongst females.
It will also support the Leeds Hospitals Charity, who have committed to help build a state-of-the-art MND Care Centre, to give people with MND and their families the best possible care and support.
By donating to our charity challenge, you can help us raise funds towards creating The Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease, which will see all MND services housed under one roof for the first time.
Help us transform the hospital experience for people with MND, their loved ones, and our NHS heroes caring for them.
