Heritage and climate - act now to save historic places around the world

We are passionate believers in the power of international collaboration - this is vital for conserving heritage as we adapt in the face of climate change. Our crowdfunding goal is to support knowledge sharing and adaptation across the world.

Story

All INTO members are not-for-profit - virtually all are very small organisations - a few are more substantial in size, but all are equally dedicated, equally passionate.

Every day we hear of work our members want to undertake, but which they are having to embark upon with little resource and an abundance of optimism. Our crowdfunding goal is to help make these projects happen and make a real difference to communities all around the world.

We've seen the impact we can have, using our global network to deliver climate adaptation projects which will protect built and natural heritage for generations to come. Even the smallest injection of funds, expertise and advocacy can have a huge impact.

There's no doubt that without this support, heritage across the globe is under threat from increased rainfall, fluctuating temperatures, new pests and diseases, drought and more. We can give proactive support, such as:

• Collaborating with the National Trust on climate adaptation guidance

• Organising knowledge exchanges – twinning, case studies, forums and webinars

• Capacity building through fundraising
