Story

On April 24, 2019, Chris Wiles, loving husband, father, son, brother and uncle, took the devastating action to take his own life.

With no previous mental health issues, Chris had reached out for help. However, his mental state deteriorated dramatically and within three months the anxiety and depression got hold of him with an even tighter grip and despite the help he received he became consumed.

The Wiles family, in partnership with Mates in Mind, are aiming to shed light on the importance of mental health awareness and training within any organisation and help to break the silence and stigma surrounding mental ill health in the workplace.

Paying attention to your mental health in the workplace has never been more important. Together, in Chris's memory, we can be the change needed to improve workplace mental health.
