Story

India has reached the devastating milestone of 200,000 coronavirus deaths. Hospitals across the country are overwhelmed as a second wave sweeps across the country. According to recent reports, the real number of fatalities is thought to be far greater, with many not being officially recorded.

Islamic Relief is currently responding to the ongoing COVID crisis in the state of Kerala. Donations towards our appeals are helping to provide 4,500 food packs to families disproportionately affected due to loss of livelihoods from the COVID lockdowns.

Oxygen supplies remain critically low across the country, leaving the black market as the only option for many people. There have been at least 300,000 new infections every day in the past week, with more than 360,000 new cases in the past 24 hours on Wednesday.

Your donations can provide vital oxygen supplies, PCR COVID testing machines, hygiene kits and food to help save lives in India.

£52 can provide critical oxygen to 1 person in India suffering from Covid19

£100 can provide food to 2 families for a month (Zakat Eligible)

£150 can provide PCR tests to prevent and diagnose covid-19 in India

£260 can provide ongoing oxygen supply for one hospital bed in India (Sadaqah Jariyah)

Please donate now to save lives.
