Story
Independent Lives is a user-led charity working to change the lives of disabled people, people with support needs and carers. Our vision is for a fair society where everyone can participate and has the opportunity to fulfil their potential.
Creating a community hub
We need your help to create a safe and accessible space for disabled people to meet, learn and share their experiences. We want to empower disabled people to build connections, develop skills and support each other to live independent lives.
By making a donation or supporting us to raise funds, you will help us to not just create a physical space, but fund the activities that support disabled people. This may include coffee mornings, creative classes, digital skills training, health and social care training and opportunities for volunteers.
I feel very lonely. I wish there was somewhere I could go to make new friends who really understand what it's like. - Independent Lives client
Please support us to create a community which is accessible, visible, inclusive and open to all.
Drop 360 event
As part of our fundraising campaign, some of our brave supporters will be taking part in Drop 360, a terrifying leap of faith out of the Brighton i360. That is some 160 metres tall! Join us on 13 June for what is going to be an incredible evening.
There are still some spaces available so if you would like to challenge yourself with an event you will always remember then please don't hesitate to get in touch. You can email us at fundraising@independentlives.org.
