Only 6% of Romania is evangelical so there is much need for church planting, and Christian leadership development. Sharing the longest border with Ukraine, Romania has welcomed in refugees and continue to support the displaced. International Needs Romania is making incredible impact within the community in serval ways!
21 church planters/evangelists work to bring the gospel to Romanians, evangelizing and establishing churches within the Roma communities throughout Romania. The Seminary in a Suitcase program provide Bible training to pastors and church planters throughout Romania.
The WINGS program equips and encourages young adults, who are the future Christian leaders of Romania. This mentoring program matches young leaders with a mentor who focuses on both leadership skills and a discipleship program. The DIALOGOS program provides conferences for church leaders and pastors to create conversation between Christianity and contemporary culture.
The ARK program reaches disenfranchised women of Romanian society. The program includes a prison ministry to women, Christian counselling and spiritual support, and the Stop Human Trafficking Project to prevent and bring awareness of the existence and dangers of human trafficking to teen girls.
Church planters, through their church congregations, provide resettlement, food, shelter, and emotional and spiritual support to refugees entering Romania. Monthly convoys of relief supplies travel directly into Ukraine, supporting local Ukrainian church communities. A preschool provides education assistance for Ukrainian children living in Romania.
Doru has served as senior church planter since 2007. Doru and Daniela Pribac, along with Mirel Talpes, President of IN Romania, work to bring the gospel to many people, healing the broken hearts of abused women, helping lonely children, training pastors, planting churches, and teaching the future Christian leaders of Romania.
Doru graduated with a degree in engineering and worked in this field in Arad where he also lead Sunday school in his local Baptist church. After the fall of communism, Doru followed the call of God into full time Christian ministry, graduated from Emmanuel Baptist University, and soon after, took over the Fontanelle Baptist church.
