Immediate Theatre staff are taking to the streets of Hackney to conquer the Hackney Half Marathon on the 19th May, to raise money to support our work with young people.

Our Estate-based Youth Theatre's have provided free, inclusive creative workshops in the borough since 1998. We are currently running eleven free weekly youth theatres on Estates across Hackney for young people from ages 5-25, including a dedicated session for young people with disabilities. We also offer projects during the school holidays, offer accreditations including AWAs and regularly submit young people for achievement awards.

As we no longer receive funding to for refreshments, we are raising money to provide food and drinks for the young people attending our Estate-based Youth Theatre sessions, ensuring they can put all of their energy into projects that improve their wellbeing, increase artistic abilities and engage them in the process of change.

£20 would provide nutritional refreshments for all young attendants at one youth theatre session.

£35 would fund hot lunches for a week for one young person attending a holiday project.

£250 would pay for food for an end of term celebration for all our young people.
