Story
At In Kind Direct we've pulled out all the stops and are doing everything we can to help the 4,000+ charities relying on us for the essential products needed to deliver their work for those most at risk across the UK.
When the crisis hit in March, we saw a dramatic spike in demand for essential household products such as cleaning supplies, toilet roll, sanitary products and kitchen supplies.
We've been working with manufacturers and retailers to increase donations of essential products and distribute these to our local charity partners quickly and efficiently, focusing on where the need is greatest.
In response, we've distributed over £12 million in essential supplies to charities supporting the vulnerable and isolated. This includes:
1.9m tampons and sanitary towels
223,000 nappies
930,000 toilet rolls
283,000 laundry cleaning products
178,000 bottles of handwash
158,000 tubes of toothpaste
7.4m hot drinks and packs of biscuits
We remained open throughout lockdown and continue to be there as the economic and health effects of the crisis reverberates through our communities.
This has only been possible because of the support of our generous donors.
We're in this for the long term and will be there to help communities recover.
If you can, please give to help us to keep our vital service running and together we can continue to help those most affected:
* £15 could help us get toilet rolls, hand wash and toothpaste to 8 households
* £50 could help us get essential cleaning supplies, clothing and indoor activities to 30 families
* £250 could help us to get essential personal care, kitchen, cleaning and laundry products to 150 households
