Story
IRONBRIDGE VALLEY OF INVENTION
Set within the heart of a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Ironbridge Valley of Invention is situated 5 miles from Telford Town Centre in Shropshire.
Stretching along the River Severn, our award-winning museums are within 6 square miles of the Ironbridge Gorge, widely regarded as the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution.
We are a heritage and conservation charity and our 10 museums collectively tell the industrial and social story of the Ironbridge Gorge and how the innovations and inventions that occurred here since the 18th century changed the world.
Did you know it cost £15,000 a day to run the museums? If you raise £100 that will pay for a whole day of stabling, food and welfare for our three horses at Blists Hill and £200 would pay for two day's worth of coal for our steam exhibits.
Every pound counts and we are incredibly grateful you've chosen us to fundraise for.
