Story

Will you hold the paw of old, blind boy Jax?

Earlier this year, whilst carrying out our neutering services on Penang Island, our team stumbled upon a severely emaciated doberman on the streets. He was so sick that his bones were protruding through his frail skin.

Jax was all alone on the streets; starving, blind in one eye, and struggling to hold his own frail body upward. It was clear that he hadn’t experienced a decent meal or kind touch in a very long time, with passers by choosing to ignore his suffering.

Jax has now been in the loving care of our IAPWA Penang team for a few months and has undergone extensive veterinary treatment, aqua acupuncture and physiotherapy, and has been eating a special gastrointestinal diet during this time.

Sadly, despite making some progress, Jax is nowhere near where we hoped he would be at this point. He is still struggling to put on weight and his progress has halted. He's also almost ran out of his special dietary food and he still needs much more treatment and care from our team.

We are desperate to find this good boy a forever home once he is well enough, but sadly the light at the end of the tunnel is still just a flicker. Please help us give Jax a better future by sponsoring his care today. Thank you.

Please note: if we reach our target for Jax, any funds raised above this will be used where they are needed the most to support the other animals within our projects and support programmes.
