Desa was discovered all alone on the streets, nursing a large tumour. This tumour is known as a TVT (transmissible venereal tumour) and is a type of canine cancer for which she requires chemotherapy treatment. As with many dogs we've treated fighting this condition, her chances of survival are good, but we must begin treatment immediately in order to give her the best possible chance.
Sadly, we believe Desa has also endured a large amount of trauma on the streets as she is currently extremely scared and reacts aggressively whenever approached. Over time we hope to earn Desa’s trust and break down the barriers she has built up due to all she has been through.
Not only do we want to help Desa overcome her cancer, but we want to ensure she will wag her little tail again, and hopefully be able to sleep soundly in a wonderful forever home when the time comes.
Will you hold Desa’s paw through her tough battle ahead? Please donate today to help us save her life.
Please note: If we are lucky enough to raise the funds needed to support Desa, any funds raised above what is needed will be used to help the other animals in our care.
