Meet Alf. This handsome boy is around eight years old and has lived on the streets all of his life.

Unlike the heart-breaking tales of many homeless dogs and puppies, Alf has managed to fend for himself on the streets for many years. That was of course until recently when his health took a devastating turn, leaving this sweet boy in a critical state. Without a family of his own to care for him, Alf is facing a very sad future and desperately needs your help.

Recently, we received reports that a stray dog in the area had become very unwell and in dire need of support. Despite the overwhelming hunger that many stray dogs face due to the lack of accessible food on the streets, Alf was refusing to eat even when prompted by a kind street feeder. He quickly became so weak that he was unable to support his own body weight and couldn't move from the area in which he'd collapsed under a nearby vehicle. It was a heart-breaking sight.

Alf was immediately rushed to the vet where blood tests showed he is suffering from a combination of deadly parasites in his blood and dreaded heartworm. Both diseases, which are transmitted through ticks and mosquitoes, can be absolutely fatal if left untreated. Alf needs our help and he needs it right now!
